A bendable keyboard has been the winner of arecent competition launched by Microsoft and Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design under the name PC Hardware Design Project. The winner developed a new kind of keyboard that can be bent, squeezed, twisted or flexed, interpreting each gesture as a different kind of command.
At the same time, both Nokia and Samsung are releasing graphene based flexible mobile phones, that can be rolled and bent and are virtually unbreakable.
Bendable devices are now made possible by the creation of bending versions of previously unbendable materials, such as glasses: e.g. Corning just launched a flexible, paper-thin willow glass for LCD and OLED screens.
Bendiness is here to stay!
