Breast-feeding activists are growing in many Western countries, especially the USA and Germany. Those activists are focusing not only on the well being of the baby, but also on rethinking the role of women in society, so that they are often seen as a reaction against the feminist movements of the ’70ies.
To describe these breast-feeding (or lactation) activists, a new word has just been coined: lactalist.
